Pizza is one of those absolute must-haves for me, I can never resist. With so many to choose from, how do you know which one is the best? American Dream Pizza is the real deal. Their location downtown below next to and below the Crowbar (also a great place) is a fun experience in itself. Aside from the fact that you can get gluten-free pizza crust (Wed-Sat only I believe), they rub some kind of amazing garlic butter on the crust. Seals the deal right there.
So we know where to get the best beers in town, but what about coffee and tea?
First of all, if you want the best Americano in town, the Purple Moon drive-thru organic espresso in south town is amazing. They have some fantastic gluten-free scones as well!
Coffee culture serves up a great cup of coffee as well, and provides great ambiance for visiting with your good friends 🙂
And me, being the big tea fan that I am and enjoy supporting local, I buy all of my tea at Oregon Coffee and Tea on Monroe in downtown Corvallis.
So if you live in Oregon, you probably get exposed to a lot of craft beers…and boy are they awesome! I, however, have some favorite breweries that I recommend trying in our great town of Corvallis!
Sky High Brewery- good brews, good food, good views, good people too!
Flat Tail- I like watching sports here, they have a great bar and they have their own lavender infused simple syrup, so if you aren’t into sample some beer, try one of their fine cocktails!
Block 15- This place has so many rotating brews I can’t keep track! But they have a great menu and its a great place for happy hour.

Local Eats Week September 15-21
The 5th annual “Local Eats Week” will be held September 15-21, 2014. During the week, 19 local restaurants will each offer a $6 sample small plate or appetizer that features primarily Local 6 ingredients.
I love when Corvallis has these events! It is a such a great way to sample the many restaurants that Corvallis has to offer. It is also a great way to showcase how great Corvallis is at eating locally and sustainable a buy local mindset. Below are the following restaurants participating this year!
